What is the Visibility feature?
The Visibility feature allows you to make yourself visible or invisible to the rest of the event's Participants based on your preferences. When you make yourself invisible, your profile will not be displayed anywhere on the event platform, and thus will not be searchable by other Participants.
Likewise, if the Visibility of a team member who is a part of an Exhibitor booth is set to invisible, that team member will also not appear anywhere on the event platform.
Why can't I find a specific Participant?
If you are looking for a specific registered Participant and cannot find them anywhere on the event platform, there are three possible reasons that would explain this:
- The Participant in question has set their Visibility to invisible from their end.
- The Event Organizers have set that Participant's Visibility to invisible from the back-end.
- The Event Organizers have placed settings that restrict your ability to see the Participant in question, based on the Group settings defined by the Event Organizers. Which Group you are assigned to is to the discretion of the Event Organizers, and is most often based on the Participant's purchased ticket type.
How to enable/disable your Visibility?
You can choose at any time to make yourself visible or invisible in the Attendees button found in the top horizontal bar of the event (name of the button is subject to change based on the Event Organizers' preferences).
Note: Whether you have been assigned to the Attendees, Speakers or Exhibitors group, you can enable/disable your Visibility in the Attendees button.
On Desktop/WebApp:
To manage your Visibility, go to the Attendees button in the event. On the left-hand side, you will see a box with the name Visibility. You can toggle this setting on and off at any time depending on whether or not you want or do not want to be visible to other Participants of the event.
On Android:
Go on the Attendees button. Click on the three dots at the top right of the screen, and enable Be visible in the list to be hidden or visible.
On iOS:
Go on the Attendees button. Click on the three dots at the top right of the screen, choose Edit my visibility, and select to be hidden or visible.
