What is a Secret Event Code
Secret Codes are created by the Organizers to grant specific Attendees access to the event without prior registration. It's up to the organizer to decide whether they want to use this feature or work with a list of attendees.
There are different ways to use a secret code. The easiest one, if you don't have a Swapcard account yet, would be through this link.
If you already have a Swapcard account, you can log in and, on the top right corner, you will see a drop-down for your profile. Select the option Looking for an event? and enter the Secret code.
I cannot find my Secret Event Code
Once you log into your Swapcard account, you may not have direct access to the event you want to join. Instead, you will only have the option to join using the Secret Event Code.
If you have not received a secret event code from the Organizer, then it is likely that they opted out of using the feature. In this case, you may not have access to the event because:
- Your registration has not yet been imported onto our platform. Please note that it can take up to a few hours for registrations to be imported onto Swapcard. To have a Swapcard account created for you and have the event appear on the homepage of your account, you will need to be on the event's attendee list on Swapcard.
- You did not log in with the email used when registering for your event. Make sure to use the same email address when connecting to the application.
- The event is not yet accessible to users. The event will be accessible from the homepage of your Swapcard account once it is available or when invitation emails are sent by the Organizer.
