Enabling Multifactor Authentification (MFA) in your account
Updated over a week ago

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a multi-step account login process that requires users to enter more information than just a password.

Swapcard enables you to set-up a 2-step factor authentication (2FA) from your user account.

Setting up 2-Step Authentication

Enabling 2-Step Authentication in our event application is quick and easy. Here's a brief overview of how it works:

  1. Navigate to Your Account Settings: Log in to your account and head over to your account settings.

  2. Enable 2-Step Authentication: Simply click on "Enable 2-Step Authentication within your account settings.

3. Go through the verification Process:

The verification process is done in two different ways, both of which you need to have an authenticator app. Learn how to use an authenticator app.

  • Scanning the QR code

  • Using the authenticator link

Et voilà ! Your account is all secure.

Logging in with the 2-FA

Once the 2-FA has been activated, you'll be asked to generate a code with your authenticator app everytime you log in.

Disabling the 2-FA authentication

Disabling the 2-FA is as smooth as enabling it.

To do so, just log into your account and your Settings.

Under the Settings tab, you'll see the option to disable the 2-FA.

Check if your Organization members have enabled 2FA

From Studio, Owner and Admins of the Organization can verify in "Settings & members", in the list of Members, if they have enabled the two-factor authentication (2FA).
