How to access Sherlock
Sherlock is built directly into the Swapcard event app.
Open the Swapcard app on your iOS or Android device, or visit the web app.
Look for the Sherlock icon (a chat bubble) in the navigation bar or on your home screen.
Tap it to open the assistant and start typing your question in plain language.
💡 The more complete your profile, the better Sherlock's recommendations. Take a few minutes before the event to fill in your interests, job title, and goals.

Find the right people to meet
With hundreds or thousands of attendees at a large event, knowing who to approach can feel overwhelming. Sherlock analyzes your profile and interests to surface the most relevant connections and can help you send a meeting request — with a personalized message — directly from the conversation.
Try asking:
"Who should I meet today based on my interests?"
"Find me attendees working in sustainable packaging."
"Help me send a connection request to [name]."
"Show me my pending connection requests."
Manage your meetings without leaving the chat
Your full meeting schedule is manageable right inside Sherlock. No more digging through menus to find a free slot or reschedule a call.
Try asking:
"Show me my meetings for today."
"Find an available slot to meet with [name]."
"Cancel my 3 pm meeting."
"Reschedule my morning meeting to after lunch."
💡 After asking Sherlock to list available slots, just say "book the 3 pm one" — it picks up the context and confirms in seconds.

Sherlock on WhatsApp & without an account
You don't need to be logged in — or even have a Swapcard account — to start a conversation with Sherlock.
Via WhatsApp
Message the Swapcard WhatsApp account and Sherlock will respond directly in the chat. It works just like the in-app experience, but from a platform you already use every day. Sherlock can answer questions about sessions, speakers, exhibitors, venue info, and more — as well as help you log in to the app via a Magic Link.
🔑 Magic Link login: Just share your email address with Sherlock over WhatsApp or in the app. It will send a login link straight to your inbox — one tap and you're in, no password needed.
Via the event app (no account needed)
If you land on the event app without an account, the Sherlock button is still visible and accessible. You can browse public event content, discover sessions, and get answers to common questions. When you're ready to log in, just ask Sherlock to send you a Magic Link.
⚠️ Guest access only surfaces content the event organizer has made publicly available. Attendee-only content remains protected until you log in.
Important notes
Sherlock is only available if your event organizer has enabled it. If you don't see the assistant in your app, contact the organizer for confirmation.
Sherlock's recommendations improve with a complete and up-to-date profile. The more context it has, the more relevant its suggestions.
Sherlock only surfaces content and people you have permission to see, based on your role and access level.
